The Marnavalais Axel Clerget competed on Saturday December 2 in the Grand Slam in Tokyo, Japan. The Olympic mixed team champion finished at the foot of the podium (5th), in the under 90 kg category. He was beaten in the repechage table by the bronze medalist, Italian Christian Parlati.
Everything had started well for the Sucy-en-Brie member, victorious in his first fight of the day against the Czech David Klammert, an old acquaintance from Haut-Marnais.
