Archers d’Artenay Club Hosts Successful Archery Competitions

Last weekend, the Archers d’Artenay club organized two competitions at the gymnasium: a special youth meeting and a selective French archery and para-archery championship.

No less than 160 archers met at the Artenay gymnasium, divided between the “departures” on Saturday afternoon (reserved for young beginners), Saturday evening, Sunday morning and Sunday evening (selective for the French championship). “This competition weekend went very well,” noted Christian Barillot, president of the Archers d’Artenay club.

“We had the pleasure, again this year, of welcoming archers from the Paris region and Eure-et-Loir,” said Karen Pecheux, secretary of the club.

A promising young archer has distinguished himself

“This competition ended with an awards ceremony. I would also like to thank our volunteers for their excellent work and our partners for their support,” underlined the president.

Grégory Orsat, 13, has been practicing for three years with the Archers d’Ingré club. He got on the first step of the podium (level 1). He proudly says that it was not the first time: “This year, I competed three times with three podiums. » Twice first and once second for the archer with a promising future. “I love everything about this sport. And it works a lot on concentration,” commented Grégory, dedicating his victory to his best friend Maelys, also an archer at the Ingré club.
