A VTC driver was placed in police custody on Sunday in the investigation into intentional homicide opened after the murder of an FC Nantes supporter, killed during an altercation on Saturday shortly before the Ligue 1 match against ‘OGC Nice.
“As a continuation of the first investigations carried out during the night, a VTC driver went to the Nantes police station this (Sunday) morning, at 4:30 a.m., and was placed in police custody from including intentional homicide”, indicates in a press release the public prosecutor of Nantes, Renaud Gaudeul. “It is a 35-year-old man,” specifies the magistrate, who at this stage does not plan a press briefing before Monday. “Shortly before 8 p.m., several VTC vehicles transporting Nice supporters were attacked by FC Nantes supporters,” he said last night.
