Adi Hütter (Monaco coach): “Show our reaction”

“Which players are unavailable for the trip to Toulouse?
Mo’Camara is out, he suffers from a thigh injury (contracted against Lyon, last Friday). We have two suspended players, with Wilfried Singo and Denis Zakaria. Vanderson and Golovine are back. Eliot Matazo is still injured in his quadriceps. Eliesse Ben Seghir, Breel Embolo and Caio Henrique are still out.

If things go badly in Toulouse and you are not on the podium at the break, would you consider that unfair compared to the game you produced in this first leg?
We are primarily responsible for this situation. We are very dissatisfied after the defeat against Lyon (0-1). We deserved to win this match. It really pissed me off because second place was within reach. This defeat and that of Nice are two very hard setbacks to swallow. We are playing our last match in Toulouse, we will have to give everything to finish this first leg well.

With the CAN and the Asian Cup in January, you will be deprived of many players. How do you envisage this period?
Six players will not be there. It will be a lot. It’s as if we had six players forfeited. It’s a lot. We have to do without and put together the best possible team. First, we will have to get 3 points from Toulouse, we are under pressure. On the pitch, we have to do our best.

Do you consider it necessary for the club to strengthen itself in the transfer window?
Maybe yes. It’s important for us to have an eye on the market at all times. Maybe we will be able to attract new players, maybe not.

“After Lyon, in the locker room, everyone was angry and sad”

What do you think of Chrislain Matsima’s half-season?
It’s not easy for Chrislain. We talk a lot. He understands our style of play even if he had a little trouble at the start. But there is Wilfried Singo in his position and he is a fantastic player. Because he would have more difficulty playing left axial. On Wednesday, he may be able to play, he is in a balance with Soungoutou Magassa for the right center position.

Do you feel tired within your group?
We want to show our reaction on Wednesday. Because after Lyon, in the locker room, everyone was angry and sad. I expect a good performance from my team. There is no fatigue.

When will training resume?
Salisu, Mo’Camara and Wilfried Singo resume with their selection (with a view to the CAN) on December 26 so they will be free at the end of the match. Everyone else is training until December 23 and will resume on January 2. Only Golovine, Maripan and Vanderson will be able to return on January 3, because they have a long trip. »
