The European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket), referred to as the European Championship and the European Basketball Cup, is the highest level national basketball event in Europe. The European Basketball Championship was founded in 1935 and has been held every two years since 1947. It will be held every four years starting from 2017. The 2025 European Basketball Championship will be held from August 27 to September 14, 2025, and will be co-hosted by Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia. This is the next major continental national team competition in Europe after the Paris Olympics.
On December 5, FIBA announced the official logo for the upcoming 2025 European Basketball Championship. The logo and visual identity have been designed to create a strong, bold look that will leave a lasting impression for the 42nd edition of Europe’s flagship event. In the visual identity, the four host cities of Limassol, Tampere, Katowice and Riga are each represented by a specific color combination, while the logo itself is composed of modern graphic elements and a smooth architectural structure.
Kamil Novak, Executive Director of FIBA Europe, said: “We always look forward to important European events in the basketball calendar, and the launch of the official logo is a key moment to capture the excitement of fans. We are very pleased with the result of the logo. One Mark is the result of close collaboration with the four organizers. Through close collaboration, we are certain that FIBA EuroBasket 2025 will be another spectacular event.”
