The national team roster that will lead Korean badminton next year has been completed.
According to the composition of the 2024 national badminton team announced by the Korea Badminton Association on the 28th, the world’s No. 1 and 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games women’s singles gold medalist Ahn Se-young (Samsung Life Insurance), Kim Ga-eun (Samsung Life Insurance), Kim Garam (Cheong Kwan-jang), and Shim Yu-jin ( Incheon International Airport), Park Ga-eun, Kim Joo-eun, Kim Seong-min (Gimcheon City Hall), and Kim Min-seon (Chiak High School) wore the Taegeuk symbol.
In men’s singles, Jeon Hyeok-jin (Yonex), Geon-yeop Jo (Seongnam City Hall), Hae-deun Kim (Korea National Sport University), Min-seon Jeong (Sangmu), Yun-gyu Lee (Gimcheon City Hall, 2024 transfer to Miryang City Hall), Seung-hoon Seung (Gimcheon City Hall), Byeong-jae Kim (Samsung Life Insurance) , Kim Dong-hoon (Milyang City Hall) was named to the national team roster.
The men’s doubles team includes Seo Seung-jae, Kang Min-hyuk, and Kim Won-ho (Samsung Life Insurance), and the women’s doubles team includes Lee So-hee, Kim So-young, Chae Yu-jeong (Incheon International Airport), Baek Hana (MG Saemaul Geumgo), Gong Hee-yong (Jeonbuk Bank), and Jeong Na-eun (Hwasun County Office). 9 people maintained the Taegeuk mark.
Among the Hangzhou Asian Games national team members, Na Seong-seung (Gimcheon City Hall), Kim Young-hyuk (Suwon City Hall), and Choi Sol-gyu (Yonex) were excluded. As head coach, coach Kim Hak-gyun leads the national team.
