2023 U-17 World Cup just a matter of days left. The dream of seeing the Red and White squad perform at the global level only takes a few days to become a reality. At the same time, Indonesia will be the center of attention.

The stage has been prepared, the curtain will open soon.

The old jargon ‘successful implementation and successful achievement’ is still the reference in every implementation. This is not just the progress of the U-17 Indonesian National Team, but what is no less important is also about Indonesia’s ability to host world-class events.

In fact, Indonesia is no stranger to the status of hosting international sporting events, but the soccer World Cup has a different level because of the people’s enthusiasm for this 2×45 minute sport on the green field.

After the 2023 U-20 World Cup was canceled with all its drama and intrigue, the 2023 U-17 World Cup is a new gamble for Indonesia.

So far everything is going well. Praise came from various teams who were preparing the team for their first match.

Diego Martinez, who is the coach of the U-17 Ecuador National Team, the opponent of the U-17 Indonesian National Team, said he was fascinated by the field, stadium and views he encountered while in Surabaya.

Likewise, Uzbekistan U-17 National Team coach Jamoliddin Rakhmatullaev praised the U-17 World Cup facilities.

Brazil U-17 coach Philipe Leal even mentioned the splendor of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Another thing is the recognition of the Mali U-17 and Panama U-17 National Teams which highlights the friendliness of the people and the good welcome in Indonesia.

The series of compliments was a good start. Showing readiness to host and indicating no preparations like the ‘Bandung Bondowoso’ project or finalizing preparations at the last second which is a minor sign as host.

You could say, Indonesia has started well. It’s just that the 2023 U-17 World Cup hasn’t started yet and there are still days until the closing on December 2 which will test Indonesia.

The performance of all parties to ensure that Indonesia can be a good, worthy and appropriate host must still be maintained until the last day.
