Val Gardena takes over a canceled Zermatt departure

One of the two men’s Ski World Cup downhill runs in Zermatt/Cervinia that was canceled in mid-November will be rescheduled in Val Gardena. The FIS announced this on Monday evening.

Accordingly, the training sessions will now take place on the Saslong on Tuesday and Wednesday (December 12th/13th). The replacement race for Zermatt will take place on Thursday, December 14th. On the following Friday and Saturday there will be a Super-G and another downhill as planned.

The ski men’s speed start on the Matterhorn fell victim to freak weather, and a week later the women were also affected.
