The month of October marked the entry into competition for USI Badminton. This season, seven teams are registered in the championship, among them, two new ones. Without forgetting an additional team in division D4.
A victory obtained thanks to the Issoir players
The flag team, which reached the regional level, participated at the start of the competition in Roanne, in the Loire department, for its first match. A meeting during which the Issoir club has already scored valuable points. After easily disposing of the Arpajon team 6-2 in the opening, the USI beat the big favorites of the group. And in particular the Bacly club (Lyon) with a score of 5-3. A performance obtained thanks to the talents of the female representatives of the Saint-Austremoine city club. Enough to ideally launch the campaign. Other training courses have also started throughout the department.
The association also played the solidarity card, on the occasion of Pink October.
Generous members
This week, the club invited all its members to come and play dressed in pink. The sporting and solidarity event took place at the Pierre de Coubertin gymnasium. The opportunity for everyone to share a moment of conviviality, between meals and matches of course. An urn made available for the fight against breast cancer even made it possible to collect the sum of 150 euros.
