Two arrested in Malaga and Granada for the shooting attack in Vidal-Quadras

Barcelona Arrested this morning in Málaga and Granada two men allegedly involved in the shooting attack against the ex-leader of the PP in Catalonia and founder of Vox, Aleix Vidal-Quadras, according to reports The confidential and sources from the National Police have confirmed to ARA. These same sources indicate that neither of the two individuals, of Spanish nationality, would be the material author of the events.

The suspects had been hiding around the two Andalusian cities for days and the police had them under surveillance. His location and arrest have been supervised by the judge of the National Court Francisco de Jorge, who deals with the case of suspected terrorism, and are part of an ongoing police operation, according to the sources consulted by this medium.

Vidal-Quadras was shot in the face in the center of Madrid, an attack for which he was admitted and operated on for a double fracture in his jaw at the Gregorio Marañón Hospital. His condition is stable and indeed it was quickly confirmed that there was no “life-threatening”.

Although other motivations are not ruled out, the National Police is investigating whether Iran is behind the shooting with a firearm, a hypothesis that Vidal-Quadras himself put on the table due to his relationship with the opposition to the regime of ayatollah
