“We continue along the same lines as what we presented in the economic program. At this moment we have a floor of 3.3 percent and as we are going to be growing in the following months, we will probably end up with a growth of 3.5 to 3.6 percent,” said the official.

At the end of his participation in an event organized by Citibanamex, the official from the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) added that the growth perspective remains in line with what the agency has proposed since the 2024 Economic Package, with a range of 2.5 to 3.5 percent.

According to Yorio González, one of the main drivers of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will be the arrival of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) due to nearshoring.

“Between 60,000 to 70,000 million dollars have been announced, but it does not mean that this is what will be executed in 2024. We think that next year FDI will be felt more, probably more in the northern zone, in the metropolitan areas of Monterrey”, he specified.
