Nothing is going well for the Spurs at the start of the season, who are currently posting a terrible series of 12 consecutive defeats. However, it is in this pitiful context that the franchise has just issued a press release relating to… Tony Parker.
The return to the top will still have to wait. Filled with ambitions before the resumption, the Spurs quickly saw them evaporate at the start of the season. More particularly since November 2, the date of their last victory to date. Texan fans are therefore going through a very delicate period, which a recent announcement about a certain Tony Parker was not really enough to improve.
A new tribute prepared by Spurs for Tony Parker
San Antonio legend, Parker necessarily observes with distress the current performances of his former team. The latter remains in fact on 12 defeats in a row and seems destined for a new difficult season as well as one of the last places in the Western conference. Failing to celebrate the present, the franchise is preparing to honor its past, as it announced via a press release:
The San Antonio Spurs announced on Wednesday, November 29 that the “Tony Parker Hall of Fame Game,” presented by HEB and Frost Bank, will be held on Sunday, December 17 when the team hosts the New Orleans Pelicans. This themed game will involve entertainment and giveaways honoring Parker’s recent induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. (…)
Unleashed, Shaq puts the cover back on Wembanyama: “It’s not…
All fans in the stands will receive a free t-shirt offered by HEB and Frost and designed by basketball lifestyle brand Bristol Studio. (…) Parker will address the public at halftime during a tribute ceremony that will include the “re-elevation” of his retired jersey banner, newly embellished by his Hall of Famer status.
New member of the Hall of Fame, TP9 is preparing to receive yet another ovation from the supporters he has so often delighted. This, while seeing his retired jersey inherit the “Hall of Fame” mention and be erected a second time on the ceiling of the Frost Bank Center. A necessarily special evening for Spurs Nation, which nonetheless remains concerned by the current results of Gregg Popovich’s men:
Will they win a game before then?

Will they win a game by then?
If the Spurs and their fans don’t have much to celebrate about their team’s start to the season, they can always fall back on the exploits of their former players. In this respect, Tony Parker and the new ceremony which will be dedicated to him could serve as clarifications.
