As of: November 11th, 2023 10:58 p.m

Alessa-Catriona Pröpster from Kaiserslautern finished the track cycling Champions League in second place.

The European team sprint champion was no longer able to put leader Ellesse Andrews from New Zealand in danger at the fifth and final stop on Saturday (November 11th, 2023) in London. The Keirin world champion prevailed in the women’s sprint category with 173 points ahead of Pröpster (154) and Martha Bayona from Colombia (127).

In the sold-out Velodrome in London, Pröpster was not able to quite match the strong performances and results of the previous weeks on the last stop of the series. On Friday, the 22-year-old won the sprint at the same place and briefly took the top position again. With second place, Pröpster secured a bonus of 15,000 euros and collected another 5,000 euros in prize money in the ten races. The only German overall winner in 2021 was the eight-time world champion Emma Hinze, who, like Lea Sophie Friedrich, decided not to take part this year.

The other victories in 2023 went to Olympic champion Katie Archibald from Great Britain (endurance women), the 13-time world champion Harrie Lavreysen from the Netherlands (sprint men) and the Canadian Dylan Bibic (endurance men). In this category, Berliner Theo Reinhardt improved to 15th place in the overall ranking on the final day.
