After the 1:3 in Istanbul, Galatasaray Istanbul is looking for revenge against FC Bayern Munich. However, the German record champions come with a broad chest after the cup disgrace in Saarbrücken.

On Saturday, coach Thomas Tuchel’s team won impressively 4-0 against Borussia Dortmund. The round of 16 ticket can now be booked against Gala. The game takes place on Wednesday (November 8th) at 9 p.m. in the Allianz Arena.

But how do the two teams start? SPOX shows the expected lineups.

While there are significantly more options at FC Bayern than in Dortmund, Gala can almost make full use of them.

Tuchel actually has no reason to change the line-up compared to the game against BVB. However, the rotary machine may start up.

However, this does not apply to defense; there are hardly any serious alternatives here. That’s why Noussair Mazraoui, Dayot Upamecano, Min-Jae Kim and Alphonso Davies should once again form the defensive chain, Manuel Neuer is in goal.

Leon Goretzka and Konrad Laimer were convincing in midfield, but Joshua Kimmich returns to the squad. He is still suspended for one game in the Bundesliga after being shown a red card against Darmstadt 98.

Goretzka could make way for Kimmich after he underwent an operation on his hand just around two weeks ago. It is also possible that Laimer will make room for him and move to the back right to give Mazraoui or Upamecano, who has also not recovered long, a break.

Leroy Sané and Harry Kane should be in attack. Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman could be replaced by Thomas Müller and Serge Gnabry. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Mathys Tel are also available.

FCB: Neuer – Mazraoui, Upamecano, Min-Jae Kim, Davies – Kimmich, Goretzka – Coman, Musiala, Sané – Kane

FC Bayern Munich vs. Galatasaray Istanbul, expected lineups: This is how Gala could play

Gala only has to accept one loss, but this is particularly painful: regular goalkeeper Fernando Muslera was injured in the league on Friday and will be out for several weeks with muscle problems. Günay Güvenç will replace him.

In defense, coach Okan Buruk is spoiled for choice compared to the first leg. Sacha Boey, Davinson Sánchez, Abdülkerim Baardakci are expected to start. Victor Nelsson could move into the starting line-up. The midfield duo of Kaan Ayhan and Lucas Torreira are well-rehearsed and should start.

In attack, Hakim Ziyech has a good chance of a starting place. Dies Mertens, Mauro Icardi and Wilfried Zaha are also set.

Gala: Güvenç – Boey, Sanchez, Nelsson, Bardakci – Ayhan, Torreira – Ziyech, Aktürkoglu, Zaha – Icardi
