“The whole screen thing is a farce. The Everton coach took a sharp jab at the VAR system

Everton coach Sean Dyche called the video system in football a farce.

According to the coach, it is unnecessary for the referees to check the recording on the monitor near the pitch, because they never go against the video assistant’s verdict.

Dyche was reacting to an incident from Sunday’s English league game, when the referee initially awarded Manchester United’s Anthony Martial a yellow card for simulating, but changed the verdict to a penalty after watching the video.

United made it 2-0 from the penalty kick and eventually won 3-0 at Everton. “The whole screen thing is a farce,” declared Dyche.

“Everyone talks about speeding up the game, but they go and look at the monitor, while everyone knows how it will turn out,” continued the Everton strategist.

“I have yet to see anyone oppose the decision of the video. That’s why I don’t understand why they have to go look at the monitor. Just let them decide and move on,” suggested the fifty-two-year-old English coach.

Everton dropped into the relegation zone after losing their first leg after being deducted ten points for breaching financial rules. “Until the appeal is resolved, it won’t be any different. We just have to get rid of it,” Dyche appealed.

Nineteen-year-old Argentine Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring of the match against Manchester United in the 3rd minute with a wonderful scissor shot that aspires to be the goal of the year.
