On Tuesday, at Sotheby’s, the famous auction house, founded in London in 1744 and now based in New York, a Spurs jersey featuring Wembanyama’s No. 1 was put up for sale. While $80,000 to $120,000 was hoped for, a sum of $762,000 was ultimately obtained. The jersey sold was worn by the Frenchman during his first NBA match on October 25.
Earlier this month, a Victor Wembanyama trading card sold for $110,000 and a jersey he wore in Summer League went for $60,000.
