The Retro-Futuristic Designs of Taiwanese Brothers: A Love of Basketball and Workwear

MOMO@SU

The Taiwanese brothers’ retro-futuristic designs have their roots in a love of basketball in the 1990s and the workwear worn by their fisherman father.

–What kind of people do you design for?

Steve is a sports fan. A forward-thinking person.

──What was the first piece of clothing you designed?

Steve Stadium Jumper. It’s the most prestigious item for a sports team, and I wanted to try making one myself.

──If you had to narrow down your collection to one item, what would it be?

Steve warm-up shirt. Based on a basketball shirt, the cut is more unique, and the level of craftsmanship is high, making it a very Namesake item.

──What kind of BGM will be included in the fall 2023 collection?

Steve Kid Cudi’s “To Bad I Hough to Destroy You Now.” The theme of the fall 2023 collection is the painful memories of my childhood, so I listened to this song and got inspired while designing it.

──Please tell us about your dream collaboration.

It would be great to collaborate with Steve Ralph Lauren. I love my father too.
