The Pelicans have acquired the services of free agent Jeremiah Robinson-Earl through a two-way contractas reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

According to the aforementioned journalist’s sources, the 23-year-old power forward had standard contract offers to play in other organizations; However, he understands that in New Orleans he has a better opportunity to show his basketball and carve out a career in the NBA.

Selected 32nd overall in the 2021 draft, he has spent his first two seasons in the league playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Thus, in the last campaign, 2022-23, he averaged 6.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per night, playing a total of 43 games.

Regarding his new career in the Louisiana organization, it remains to be seen what role Willie Green has designated for him. In principle, he aims to be a resource to cover possible injuries or breaks for other players.
