This Saturday, November 11, the last date of the home runs of the BetPlay 2023-II Tournament was played and Cúcuta, which had already qualified previously for the final of the semester, finished the home run A with a 1-0 defeat over Llaneros and was waiting for the second finalist of zone B.
Quadrangular B was the tightest, since Fortaleza and Leones were the two that had a chance to reach this sixth round, but each one faced Boca Juniors and Real Cartagena, respectively.
The task was simple: whoever won was the second finalist and if there was a tie in both games, Leones, by goal difference, was the one who took the place.
However, finally Fortaleza was the one that managed to win and at the Metropolitano de Techo stadium they beat Boca Juniors de Cali 2-1 with goals from Jhonier Blanco and Sebastián Navarro, while the Cali team’s discount was made by Jhon Pájaro.
After this victory, Fortaleza reached 13 points, while Leones was left with 11 points after the 1-1 draw in their visit to Real Cartagena.
In this way, Cúcuta Deportivo and Fortaleza will face each other in the grand final of the BetPlay 2023-II Tournament, in round-trip duels that will be played on Tuesday, November 14 and Friday, November 17, 2023. The series will begin at the General Santander stadium and will end at the Metropolitano de Techo.
It is worth mentioning that the winner of this final will face Patriotas (winner of the first semester) and from there, the one promoted to the BetPlay 2024 League will emerge.
