According to Sky, Sven Ulreich (35) and FC Bayern have agreed on a contract extension until 2025 – only the signature is still missing.
A reward for the representative of Manuel Neuer (37/broken tibia and calf), who had held up well this season and then returned to the bench without complaint. Board boss Jan-Christian Dreesen (56): “We owe Sven a big thank you.”

As BILD and SPORT BILD reported, Bayern had been working on an extension with Ulreich since the end of October – there were good discussions (a contract option for another season had also been discussed in the last few weeks) and now the agreement!
Exciting: Ulreich is said to currently be thinking about continuing to play for several more years. As SPORT BILD revealed two weeks ago, it is quite conceivable that “Ulle” will take on another Bayern job after his playing career.

After regular goalkeeper Manuel Neuer (37) suffered a fractured tibia and fibula while skiing last December and was subsequently out for ten months, Ulreich accepted the winter signing of Yann Sommer (34) from Gladbach as a new replacement without complaint.
When Sommer moved on to Inter Milan in August and Bayern, after intensive efforts to find a new world-class goalkeeper, chose Ulreich as their temporary number one, he delivered impressively.
Until Neuer’s comeback (October 28th in the 8-0 win against Darmstadt), Ulreich played in twelve competitive games for Munich this season and impressed across the board with strong performances, keeping three clean sheets.
Most recently, “Ulle, Ulle” chants could be heard at Bayern’s annual general meeting. He also received loud and long applause from the 1,780 members.

CEO Dreesen said in his speech: “I hope he heard that. Maybe then it will be a little easier for him to sign his contract extension.”
After the agreement, the signature on the new working paper is still missing. But that should happen by the end of this year!
