Success at the TSG Salza Nordhausen Autumn Judo Tournament

Today the TSG Salza Nordhausen Department of Judo held its first autumn tournament. Our friend JSV Sondershausen was happy to accept the invitation to organize this special competition with us…

31 fighters from both clubs met in the sports hall of the Albert Kuntz primary school in Nordhausen, motivated and hungry for the upcoming challenge despite the early time.

At 9 a.m. sharp, the judoka appeared on the tatami and were welcomed by department head Roland Lüdecke. Sondershausen sports friend Mathias Below took over the collective warm-up and ensured a few drops of sweat, but also a lot of fun.

The first fighting began as planned at half past ten. All fighters performed well and fought for their positions. People cheered loudly, coached, rejoiced and were a little annoyed about minor technical errors. Some athletes competed in the open class to challenge themselves outside of the usual classes and weights and use this unusual setting to determine their position. After 2 hours the fights were over and there was a communal warm-up with some judo games.

The parents of the host club organized delicious meals so that the physical well-being of the athletes and supervisors was well taken care of.

The TSG Salza Nordhausen would like to thank the coaching team for their commitment, the organizational team for the good cooperation and the good process, the parents for the good catering, the DRK Nordhausen district association for providing security and the JSV Sondershausen for the good atmosphere.
