Serge Airoldi wins the 2023 Jules-Rimet Prize with “L’écho” ????

Culture. Serge Airoldi won the Jules-Rimet Sport and Literature Prize thanks to “The Test”. This novel, published by Inculte-Dernière margine, tells the story of an Italian, a force of nature, who wanted to participate in the marathon of the first Olympic Games. He traveled between Milan and Athens, running 70 kilometers per day. For nothing: his registration was refused.

The awards ceremony for this 12th 2023 edition of the Jules-Rimet Prize was held on Thursday November 23, 2023, at the Trinquet de la Cavalerie, in Paris. It was Renaud Leblond, president of the Jules-Rimet Association, and Denis Jeambar who presented the winner with a check for 3,000 euros, as well as the traditional jersey of Red Star, a Parisian club founded by Jules Rimet, who also created the Men’s Football World Cup. Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation, attended this awards ceremony. At the same time, Julien Legalle received the jury’s favorite prize for “Writers and Sport” (Éditions du Volcan).
