Sciacca Runners Excel in Regional Half Marathon Championship and Karate Judo Club to Compete in International Mediterranean Trophy

More competitive events for the runners of Sciacca. It happened

last Sunday, in fact, the Gela half marathon, a race valid for the regional half marathon championship. At the start are some athletes from Sacenza registered for the two associations “Sciacca Running” and “Agatocle”.

First at the finish line for the Saccense expedition was Michele Guzzardo, 6th in the category, with an excellent time of 1 hour and 29 minutes. Following, in order of arrival and timed times, Calogero Cirafisi, Ignazio Bivona, Giuseppina Baldassano and Rosaria Chiaramonte who came first in her SF65 category. The next running event is now scheduled for Sunday 19 November on the occasion of the Palermo international half marathon.

And let’s move on to martial arts. The Karate Judo Club of Sciacca will take part, over the weekend, in the 2023 International Mediterranean Trophy which will take place in Messina, a competition also of a federal nature.

Both the kata and kumite sectors are busy. For the kata, Francesco Restivo, Cadet category, athlete from Altair Menfi, but Fijlkam member with the Karate Judo Club Sciacca, and Vincenzo Interrante Seniors category will be on the platform. For the kumite protagonists Alessio Nicosia Cadet Category, Samuele Albanese and Mattias Albanese, Junior Category athletes of the Cescus of Raffadali but Fijlkam members with the Karate Judo Club Sciacca, Francesca Liotta Junior Category, Enea Falcone Under 14 Category, Vincenzo Santangelo Under 14 Category athlete of the ‘Altair Menfi but Fijlkam member with the Karate Judo Club Sciacca, Francesco Lo Bue Under 14 Category, Carmelo Di Vincenzo and Gioele Albanese Under 14 Category Cescus athletes from Raffadali but Fijlkam member with the Karate Judo Club Sciacca.

The athletes will be supported in Messina by the instructor Michele Catanzaro.
