Semi-finalist of the 2010-2011 Champions League and eighth finalist in 2018-2019, Schalke 04 is in danger. After 11 matches, the Ruhr club is among the bottom of the ranking. This complex sporting situation is accompanied by a major economic problem. One of its main sponsors, Russian company Gazprom, withdrew from the club following the war in Ukraine.
