Representatives from Bahia Set to Compete in Archery and Paddling at XIX Pan American Games

He was born in Bahía Blanca, on February 11, 1986. He is a journalist who graduated from the Southern Regional Institute. He worked for a decade at Gente de Básquet and was part of the press department of several Bahia clubs. He has worked at La Nueva since 2013 as a member of the Sports sections and lanueva.com; and he is a producer of La Nueva Play. He attended the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games, the Rosario 2022 South American Youth Games, and the Asunción 2022 South American Games, among others.

We are now entering the last week of the XIX Pan American Games but there are still representatives from Bahia to make their debut.

Two of the cases will see action today with the start of archery at the headquarters of Peñalolén, a commune east of Santiago.

These are Florencia Leithold, who will compete in the recurve bow and will face her third consecutive Pan American Games, and Iván Nikolajuk, with the compound bow, who has experience since Lima 2019. Damián Jajarabilla (recurve) completes the national delegation.

The activity will begin today at 9 with the first qualifying round.

Archery will continue consecutively on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the last day of the Games.

Vernice will also start today

The paddler Agustín Vernice, born in Bahía Blanca and living in Olavarría as a child, will begin competing in his second Pan American Games today.

The Olympian in Tokyo will compete in K1 1000, K2 50 and K4 500, with the following competition schedule:

K1 1000 – Series from 9
K1 1000 – Semifinals from 11
