VITERBO – “Ugo Cardoni left us this morning, having been hospitalized for many days due to a serious illness. News which caused immense sadness in those who knew him and which affects our entire sports club in a profound and painful way” – writes the Stella Azzurra Viterbo on their social pages, announcing his passing.
“A life for basketballprotagonist of the city basketball as a player and coach, assistant of the white-starred first team for many years, Ugo was a profound and esteemed expert of the basketball environment, but above all a friend, in particular always close to all the kids.
We will miss him very much and not only when we take the field. Tonight, before the start of the match, a minute’s silence will be observed and the boys will wear the mourning uniform in his honor.”
The mayor Chiara Frontini joined the condolences of the family and Stella Azzurra: “Viterbo mourns the passing of Ugo Cardoni. A man of sport, a life for sport, for basketball.
