JUARA.NET – Mario Aji secured the 28th starting grid for the Qatar 2023 Moto3 qualifying session.
This Honda Team Asia racer had to fight hard in the session held on Saturday night (18/11/2023) WIB.
The best time he recorded in the training session was 2 minutes, 7.475 seconds
Even though he was better than his teammate, Taiyo Furusato, this capital was not enough to make him qualify directly for qualifying two or Q2.
In the practice session, Mario complained about the lack of tire grip.
Apart from that, he also highlighted how full the track was during the second practice.
“I never fought optimally in the first practice because the new asphalt was very dirty. I didn’t feel any grip between the tires and the new asphalt,” he said as quoted by Juara.net from the official Honda Team Asia release.
“In practice two, I was more comfortable.”
“However, I couldn’t maximize it because the track was full of racers,” added the 19 year old racer.
