PSG-OM: classification without further action for the reporting of homophobic chants at the Parc des Princes

The report made to the courts regarding the homophobic chants sung during the OM-PSG match on September 24 was dismissed because it is impossible to individually identify the authors of the chants.

The interministerial delegate for the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and anti-LGBT hatred (Dilcrah), Olivier Klein, filed a report with the courts after the match. “We did receive feedback from the prosecutor following the report which was closed without further action” because “the authors of these songs cannot be individually identified,” Dilcrah told AFP.

Another ongoing complaint against Amazon Prime

PSG was sanctioned on October 5 by the LFP disciplinary committee, which ordered the closure of the Auteuil stand for one final match and one suspended match.

Also, Dembélé, Kolo Muani, Hakimi and Kurzawa received a one-match suspension, after repeating insulting refrains towards the Marseillais, unrelated to the homophobic chants heard the same evening. In the process, the Parisian club spoke out and indicated that it “condemns all forms of discrimination, particularly homophobia, and would like to point out that they have their place neither in stadiums nor in society “.

Amélie Oudéa-Castéra had also invited “PSG to file a complaint to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice, so that they are removed from the stadiums”.

For these same facts, several LGBT+ associations filed a complaint on November 8 in Paris against Amazon Prime, broadcaster of the match. In the rebroadcast proposed by the media, “it is possible to hear several chants from supporters coming from the stands. Some of these songs are of a pronounced homophobic character,” denounced the complaint.
