PSG fan checked with cutter in Milan banned from stadium for two years

A Paris SG supporter, found Tuesday in possession of a 22 cm cutter when entering the stadium for the Champions League match against AC Milan, received a two-year stadium ban, announced the prefecture of Milan.

The prefect of the Lombard capital “issued a stadium ban for a period of two years against a 26-year-old French supporter, who during police checks for access to the stadium was found in possession of a cutter with a sharp blade with a length of 22 cm hidden in his backpack,” she said in a press release.

No disturbances to public order around the stadium

Still according to the prefecture, the French supporters, when they found themselves faced with the police filtering spectators, “abandoned their bats before being controlled”. After marching through the streets of Milan escorted by the police early Tuesday afternoon, the 4,300 PSG supporters gathered in the Duomo square in the center, before going to San Siro under police escort.

The match won 2-1 by AC Milan “took place without disturbances to public order around the stadium”, again according to the prefecture. Questioned by AFP about the state of health of the supporter who was seriously injured “by stabbing on Monday evening in Milan in clashes with Italian fans, the prefecture was not able to immediately provide information.
