Barcelona. The Spanish Prosecutor’s Office yesterday requested a sentence of nine years in prison for the Brazilian soccer player Dani Alves, accused of sexual assault of a young woman in a nightclub in Barcelona, facts for which he has been in provisional prison since January.
The Public Ministry requests that the player be sentenced to nine years in prison, as well as compensation to the victim of 150,000 euros (163,000 dollars), for an alleged crime of sexual assault, according to the document of provisional conclusions to which The AFP had access.
The authority also requests another 10 years of supervised release for the former Barcelona and UNAM Pumas star, once he completes the prison sentence imposed on him, as well as the prohibition of approaching or communicating with the victim during that period. .
