Old Bridge Golf Club at Rose-Lambertson is New Jersey’s first new public golf course in more than a decade.

PHILLIPSBURG — Phillipsburg football turned three first-half turnovers into touchdowns Friday night and went on to a 42-24 win over Westfield in a NJSIAA North 2 Group 5 semifinal.

John Wargo rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns, while Jett Genovese threw for 198 yards and two scores for the top-seeded Stateliners. Max Cho tossed three TD passes for fourth-seeded Westfield.

Phillipsburg (9-1) has won six straight and will play host to Union City in the sectional final next Friday night. It’s the second straight season the Liners have made the section final.

Westfield (5-5) will finish its season Thanksgiving Day at Plainfield.
