Peruvian Athletes Compete in Various Disciplines at Santiago 2023 Pan American Games

Today, Friday, November 3, the Peruvian delegation continues its participation in the competitions of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games. So far, they have secured 25 medals in the different disciplines. Meet the athletes who will represent the country.

Athletics will have three competitors with the possibility of winning a medal. José Luis Rojas will compete in the 10,000 meters, while Anita Poma will run in the 1500 meters event. Marco Vilca will try to reach the 800 meters final by participating in the semifinals.

Kyara Vargas, in speed canoeing, will participate in the K1 500m competition and could get one more medal for ‘Team Peru’. In addition, the mixed archery duo, Alexandra Zavala and Daniel Velarde, will play a qualifying round to access the next stage.

Finally, Mariano Wong and Gianella Lozano will begin to compete in the karate kata discipline with three matches each. Diego Elías and the Peruvian squash delegation will face the independent athletes of the Team Competition.
