The draw for the Olympic Qualification Tournaments was held at the Patrick Baumann Basketball House in Mies, Switzerland.
A total of 24 teams will compete in four separate tournaments between 2-7 July 2024. The events will be hosted by Greece (Piraeus), Latvia (Riga), Puerto Rico (San Juan) and Spain (Valencia).
4 teams from the qualifiers will participate in the 2024 Olympic Games to be hosted in Paris. In addition to the host France, 7 teams from the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup had already received quotas for the Olympics.
According to the draw, the groups were formed as follows:
Group A (Piraeus, Greece): Slovenia, New Zealand, Croatia
Group B (Piraeus, Greece): Egypt, Greece, Dominican Republic
Group A (Riga, Latvia): Georgia, Philippines, Latvia
Group B (Riga, Latvia): Brazil, Cameroon, Montenegro
Group A (San Juan, Puerto Rico): Mexico, Ivory Coast, Lithuania
Group B (San Juan, Puerto Rico): Italy, Puerto Rico, Bahrain
Group A (Valencia, Spain): Lebanon, Angola, Spain
Group B (Valencia, Spain): Finland, Poland, Bahamas.
