NFL’s Fourth Game of the Season Outside the US to be Held in Germany: Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs

This Sunday the NFL will play its fourth game of the regular season outside the United States, the first of 2023 in Germany and the second in history in this nation, when they meet Miami Dolphins against the Kansas City Chiefs in one of the most interesting duels of week 9.

Germany began hosting regular season games last year when Tampa Bay, still with Tom Brady in the offensive controls, defeated Seattle 21-16. That night the GOAT threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns at the Allianz Arena, home of Bayer Munich.

For this occasion, Dolphins and Chiefs are going to face each other at Frankfurt Stadium, a building that, next week, will also host another match with Indianapolis against New England. It was assumed that Mexico could have received one of these two duels, but the supposed renovations to the Azteca stadium, which remain unrealized, prevented the NFL from scheduling a game in our country.

This Sunday will be the 48th regular season game played outside the United States. The countries that have received a duel of this nature are Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Germany.

How do teams get to the game?

Miami and Kansas City appear with the same record, that is, 6-2. In addition to the victory as such, first place in the American Conference will also be at stake. Administratively, the Chiefs are local and due to the current status of both squads, a tremendous duel is expected.
