NFL Considers Extending Regular Season to 18 Games for Additional Revenue

The American football league NFL is considering extending the regular season from 17 to 18 games.

“We added a regular season game two years ago. Maybe we’ll do that again to get to 18 games. We are having this discussion,” reported league boss Roger Goodell to the German Press Agency.

One of the reasons for the change would be the additional revenue the league could generate. According to Goodell, they are generally satisfied with the structure of the league.

According to his own statement, the NFL boss does not want to follow the NBA, which has introduced another tournament during the season. “We are always striving to improve, but I don’t see a tournament during the season,” he commented on the proposal.
