After four days in Frankfurt, the national team completed their final training before the game against Turkey (today/8.45 p.m./RTL) on Friday evening in the Olympic Stadium. And things didn’t go as smoothly as before on the DFB campus…

National coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) introduced a new training routine this week. During all sessions, loud music played over the speakers at the training ground. The DFB stars performed songs from “Queen”, “Kontra K” and “Dr. Dre” warm.

But during the final training session in the Olympic Stadium, of all places, the speakers remained silent – and there was no music! According to BILD information, it was planned quite differently; the usual playlist was also supposed to be played for the last session before the Turkey game.

The stars would certainly have been happy. National striker Niclas Füllkrug (30) had only praised him during the week: “The music while warming up was refreshing, it was something different. And it was good in the gray weather.” Some songs were played at Nagelsmann’s express request, while others like Jonathan Tah (27) also had an influence.

Without regular goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen (31/Barcelona), who is out with back problems, the national team will face Turkey on Saturday evening in the sold-out Olympic Stadium.

For Nagelsmann, sport is “the focus” in the politically complicated test match. The emotions should be “directed towards the sport and be fair in the stands and on the pitch”. Nagelsmann: “Emotions are part of it, and there is a certain volume involved, we are looking forward to it, it can come from both fan camps. Everything is fair and everything is peaceful.”

At around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday evening, the team bus sets off from the “Grand Hyatt” hotel towards the Olympic Stadium. Tomorrow, Sunday, some national players will visit the Adidas “Football Love Dropzone” on Maifeld around 12.30 p.m. The entire area already has an opulent football look. Fans can experience the new European Championship ball “Football Love” on the football field.
