The police are looking for a masked man who stole various bank cards and PIN numbers from an 82-year-old pensioner from his house in the Sasel district of Hamburg in May this year.

The perpetrator then gradually withdrew larger amounts of money from his victim’s account at various ATMs in the Hamburg city area and in the neighboring Stormarn district. He also paid in supermarkets with the stolen bank cards. The total damage amounts to more than 40,000 euros.

The police are now searching for the perpetrator using photos from various surveillance cameras. What’s special: Every time the money was withdrawn, the perpetrator was masked, wore a baseball cap and hid behind an FFP2 mask or a scarf. Striking: In several cases the perpetrator wore glasses.
