Through an official statement, Movistar Best PC confirmed its decision to separate and terminate the employment contract with the Colombian cyclist. In addition, it promised to deliver the necessary evidence requested by the investigating entities.

Marco Tulio Suesca was notified on October 2 of his adverse result in an anti-doping test. The cyclist was found with a substance called EPO, which is used to prevent or treat anemia, St Jude Children Research Hospital explained on its website.

“It was decided to immediately remove the runner, and to terminate his employment relationship with our team,” the team explained.

And he added: “The runner is left free to carry out his personal defense before the relevant organizations. We take advantage of the occasion to reiterate that our philosophy has been, is and will be, to ensure Fair Play, as well as our zero tolerance for doping.” .

Although there is only a provisional suspension against the 29-year-old Colombian, the team did not hesitate to remove him from the team. Now, Marco Tulio Suesca will have to wait for the result of test B, both samples were taken on September 4 of this year.
