Pitcher Hatanaka reflected, “I was able to take advantage of my slider and changeup and make the ball hit well.” He said, “It was tough after the middle innings because I was targeted with fastballs, but I made sure to throw low even against strong hitters.I want to do my best in the final as usual.”

In the fourth inning, with two outs, No. 6 Miki Komiya (second year) hit a home run over the left field. In the fifth inning, he dominated, scoring four points during the opponent’s wild pitches. Komiya said shyly, “My dream was to hit a home run at Jingu. The ball I hit was a fastball high up the middle, which is my favorite course. The moment I entered the stands I was so happy that I don’t remember much.” He said, “Next time I’m against a good pitcher, so I want to use my swing to win.”

The final between Kanto Ichi and Soka will be held at the same stadium from noon on the 5th.
