Introducing Rugby Lessons in Italian Secondary Schools: Fostering Cooperation, Inclusion, and Well-Being

This week, organized by the coach of the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR), Gero Picarella, the introductory Rugby lessons began within the timetable of the motor science discipline in classes I, II, III of secondary school. I degree. The recreational-motor lessons took place in a fun context of cooperation, inclusion, safety and psycho-physical well-being.
The fundamental values ​​that the motor science teachers Fucà, Farruggia and Vaiana intend to develop and/or consolidate with this type of activity are: cooperation, the ability to support each other, the determination to achieve an objective, the assumption of responsibility , respect for shared rules. Starting from this year, therefore, in addition to athletics, basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton and 5-a-side football, rugby will also be played inside the School Sports Centre.
