Indonesia is again without a representative in the semifinals of the BWF World Tour China Masters 2023 tournament, after the two remaining representatives stopped in the quarterfinals.

China Master 2023 is one of the BWF World Tour super 750 tournaments. The badminton tournament takes place in Shenzhen, China, from November 21 to November 26 2023, and has a total prize pool of 1,000,000 United States dollars.

The 2023 China Masters is also part of the badminton qualifiers for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

Two Indonesian representatives who competed in the quarter-finals of the 2023 China Masters badminton tournament failed to advance to the semifinals.

The men’s doubles pair, Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Martin, had to recognize the superiority of the Indian men’s doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who were the number one seeds in this tournament.

Leo/Daniel surrendered in two straight games to the Indian men’s doubles, with scores of 16-21 and 14-21. This defeat further widened the meeting record for the two men’s doubles to 0-4 for Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty.

The Indonesian men’s doubles pair Pramudya Kusuma Wardana and Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan experienced a similar thing.

The men’s doubles, which is currently ranked 19th in the world, lost to the Chinese men’s doubles, Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi with a score of 18-21 and 19-21.

With this result, Indonesia is again without a representative in the BWF World Tour badminton China Masters 2023 tournament, as well as ensuring that Indonesia returns without a title.

Of the 6 BWF World Tour super 750 tournaments held this season, Indonesia was only able to win two titles in the men’s singles sector, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting won the title at the 2023 Singapore Open tournament, and Jonatan Christie won the title at the 2023 French Open tournament.
