Ice hockey in the NHL: Kane three times – sports

The Edmonton Oilers around German national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl remain on the road to success thanks to a late comeback. After the weak start to the season in the North American professional league NHL, the Canadians also won the second game under new head coach Kris Knoblauch, the 4:3 after overtime against the Seattle Kraken meant their third win in a row. With seven and a half minutes to go, the Oilers were still down 3-1, and they only equalized 46 seconds before the final siren. Draisaitl played his part in the success with two assists. He prepared both the 1-0 goal by Connor McDavid and the equalizer in regular time.

The man of the game was Draisaitl’s teammate Evander Kane. The winger only scored to make it 2-3 before making it 3-3 in the last minute of regular time. In the third minute of extra time, Kane even scored the winning goal. For the Oilers it was only the fifth win in the 15th game of the season. National goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer was not used for Seattle.
