Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to be in contact with AC Milan management. It is believed that Ibrahimovic will return to the San Siro in the near future.
This was revealed by Gazzetta dello Sport, which detailed that Ibra and Milan had been in constant contact over the last few weeks. Communication has been positive and many parties want the 24 year old man to return.
In particular, Stefano Pioli will be happy to welcome Ibrahimovic. The two have a close relationship and Ibrahimovic is believed to be perfect for an operational role close to the first team.
Ibrahimovic played a key role for the Rossoneri during his second spell which lasted three and a half years from July 2020. During his second spell, Ibrahimovic acted as an experienced leader and mentor for Milan’s young squad.
Ibra’s presence guided the team to win the Scudetto in the 2021-22 season. He then hung up his boots at the end of last season.
Ibra’s decision to retire shocked everyone in Milan. He didn’t convey it to his teammates and only announced it in a speech after the last match.
