Red Net Moment News November 27(Reporter Zhou Yumo, Correspondent Liu Qian) From November 26th to 27th, the Hunan Youth Badminton Open Finals and the 2023 Hunan Provincial Stadium “National Fitness Badminton Together” Badminton Carnival was held at the Changsha Victor Yuxing Park Badminton Hall.

The competition is divided into eight age groups: U17 group, U14 group, U12 group, U11 group, U10 group, U9 group, U8 group, and U7 group. Except for the U8 group and the U7 group, there are only two individual events: men’s singles and women’s singles. There are four individual categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, and women’s doubles.

During the two-day competition, 613 young badminton players from various cities and states across the province competed fiercely in 1,067 games to determine the champions of 26 individual events. Gong Zhichao, the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games badminton women’s singles champion, presented awards to the winning athletes.

It is understood that the Hunan Badminton Association will hold a total of five youth events in 2023, with a total of 3,052 participants.
