Someone forgot to change the CD in the King Baudouin Stadium. Before kick-off, the national anthem of Sweden – the previous opponent in a home match – suddenly played, not that of Azerbaijan.

As it turned out, the DJ had accidentally played the national anthem of Sweden – the previous opponent in the King Baudouin Stadium.
When the Azerbaijan team did not shake hands after the Belgian national anthem, Devils captain Romelu Lukaku noticed that something was going on. He immediately rushed to national coach Domenico Tedesco to explain what was going on.

After a short search, the DJ found the right CD.
“It was very unfortunate tinkering by the organization,” said our commentator Peter Vandenbempt from the stadium.
“The Azeris were ready to put their arms on each other’s shoulders for their national anthem, but they heard something they did not recognize. Lukaku then had a discussion on the sidelines and also apologized. It turned out to be the Swedish national anthem. How is that possible!? It was probably still in the CD player from last time. In the end it was straightened out.”
Afterwards there was a minute’s silence for the Swedish victims during the previous international match, but it lasted barely 5 seconds.
