Female Athletes Shine in Team Acrobatics Competition at Birmingham Arena

The ladies were the protagonists by taking the scepter in the team double mini and tumbling (acrobatics), in a competition held at the Birmingham Arena.

The trio of Kirsty Way, Molly Mc Kenna and Bethany Williamson achieved a score of 14 points in the double mini-tramp, ahead of the girls from Portugal (10) and Canada (10).

In the trampoline acrobatics, the duel was closer, but Naana Oppon, Saskia Servini and Megan Kealy combined to obtain 12 points, one more than France and the United States.

In the men’s division, the Americans Tomas Minc, Simon Smith and Rubén Padilla (12 points) won the gold medal in the mini team double, beating Spain (11) and the hosts (9).

Finally, Azerbaijan, through Asil Hajizada, Mikhail Malkin and Tofig Aliyev, obtained 13 points to take first position in tumbling, ahead of the United Kingdom (12) and Denmark (8).
