After the embarrassing performance against Austria, the European title is further away than ever. Now 21 of 24 participants and the play-off pairings have been determined. Even as group leader, Germany could have a difficult group, as the lottery pots show.

The European Championship qualification is over. 21 of 24 participants in the European Championship, which starts with the opening game on June 14, 2024 in Munich, have been confirmed. The remaining three teams will be determined in the play-offs next March. The German national team is automatically the host and will be placed at the top of the group in the draw on December 2nd (6 p.m. in Hamburg).

Julian Nagelsmann’s team could get into a very difficult group with Denmark, the Netherlands and Italy. But opponents Albania, Slovenia and Luxembourg are also possible. However, in the current appearances of the DFB team, every opponent is a difficult one. The embarrassing 0:2 in Austria gives little hope for a successful European Championship for the German national team. “We have a lot of work ahead of us. We must not fall into the role of victim now. We have to accept that we have a lot of work. An unbelievable amount of work,” said Nagelsmann.

Croatia secured their last European Championship ticket for the time being with a 1-0 win against Armenia. These are the participants of the European Championships in Germany.
