Eli Iserbyt and Ceylin Alvarado victorious during the Niel Superprestige

The third round of the Superprestige (which has eight) took place on Saturday in Niel (Belgium). Eli Iserbyt continued his flawless start to the season. Already winner of the first two stages, in Overijse then in Maasmechelen, in October, the Belgian won again, ahead of the Dutchman Joris Nieuwenhuis and the Spaniard Felip Orts.

The Dutch Ceylin Alvarado also won in Niel. She beat her compatriot Aniek van Alphen, at the end of a race where world champion Fem van Empel, also Dutch, was absent.

Niel’s stage was marked by the injury of the Dutchman Lars van der Haar… and especially by the way he treated it. The latter in fact dislocated a shoulder, but he put it back in place, using the handlebars of his bike (see below).
