Denver Broncos Safety Kareem Jackson Suspended Again for Repeated Violations of NFL Regulations

The NFL announced another four-game suspension to safety Kareem Jackson, without pay, after he repeatedly violated NFL regulations regarding malicious hits.

The Denver Broncos player was suspended four games for the same reason on October 23, after being ejected for hitting tight end Luke Musgrave on the sidelines in the fourth quarter against the Green Bay Packers. The sanction was then reduced to two matches on appeal.

This time, upon returning from suspension, Jackson lowered his head to hit Minnesota Vikings quarterback Joshua Dobbs with his helmet, which is not tolerated.

Previously, the 35-year-old veteran had already been fined four times for excessive roughness, for a total of $89,670 in fines.

“With 13:18 remaining in the first quarter, you were involved in a play that the League considers a major rule violation. The video capture of this sequence shows you lowering your head to forcefully hit Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs in the neck and head. The path to him was not obstructed and the contact could have been avoided,” explained NFL vice president of football operations Jon Runyan in a letter written to Jackson.

“These illegal actions endanger the safety of players and will not be tolerated. »
