The Chubut delegation has confirmed its performance in the EPADE and ParaEPADE Games, which will be held starting next Monday in La Pampa.
The people of Chubut will be traveling from Rawson to the Pampas next Saturday night, to face the 17th edition of the conventional sports event and the 10th chapter for the adapted sports event.
Chubut is excited about another great EPADE
There will be about 300 young people from Chubut, between both events, who will seek to represent the province in the best way in this Patagonian contest, which brings together the six provinces of the region: Tierra del Fuego, Santa Cruz, Chubut, Río Negro, Neuquén and La Pampas.
The Epade Games are made up of the disciplines of athletics, basketball, mountain biking, soccer, judo, swimming and volleyball, in both branches, while the ParaEpade will have adapted swimming, adapted athletics, wheelchair basketball and boccia.
Match
The delegation will travel on Sunday night to the different headquarters of the Pampas province, with arrival expected for Sunday at noon, after which the corresponding accommodation and accreditation procedures will be carried out.
There will be four competition venues: Santa Rosa, General Pico, General Acha and Eduardo Castex. In Santa Rosa, basketball and wheelchair basketball, men’s soccer, conventional and adapted athletics, conventional and adapted swimming, MTB, judo and boccia will compete; Women’s soccer will be played in General Pico, women’s volleyball in General Acha, and men’s volleyball in Eduardo Castex.
From the organization they indicated that the main opening party will be in Santa Rosa, on Monday the 27th at 7 p.m., in the Civic Center Amphitheater, while the closing and general awards ceremony will be at the Estudiantes club, on Friday, December 1 at 20.
Auspicious history
Chubut’s record in the Epade Games is more than positive, since of 14 editions counted (in the first two a champion was not crowned), Chubut was champion twice (2009 and 2011), runner-up 7 times, and achieved another three third places and fifth place, remembering that in 2012 the province did not participate in La Pampa, due to union problems.
Regarding the ParaEpade, although they are carried out in a participatory manner and without crowning a general champion, in the four editions held so far, Chubut twice achieved second place in the medal table, once it was third and the remaining time, fourth.
